MC Cartagena will present, at the next municipal plenary on July 26, a battery of initiatives on mobility in order for the municipal government to resume this important matter that was stopped by the PSOE in January 2018 after the betrayal of Castejón and expulsion of the local Executive of the cartagenerista formation.
In particular, the deputy spokesman of the municipal MC Group, Jesús Giménez, has announced that he will question the tripartite government on the accession and activities planned for the European Mobility Week, to be held next September;
on the results of the UPCT Chairs;
the feasibility study of the taxi sector, as well as the convocation of the Mobility Board.
In this sense, Giménez has warned that "since Juan Pedro Torralba assumed the mobility competencies in January 2018, this matter is stagnant." Our concern increases when we know that in the distribution of the "Government of the lash", it is again awarded those skills. "
About Torralba recalled that "it is the same as it took a year to plug the chargers for electric vehicles that we left installed, that last year did not celebrate the Mobility Week and this year has not adhered, which does not meet the table of work, we are a mayor of stagnant mobility, and if paralysis is not enough, it turns out that neither he, nor Casajús, advance with the UPCT in the lines of the chairs and in the feasibility study of the taxi sector ".
It should be remembered that, under the 2017 Municipal Budget, and following the implementation of the 'M17' Strategic Mobility Plan, MC Cartagena approved two new chairs with the UPCT;
one of infrastructures, with two concrete lines of urban mobility to which the viability study of the taxi sector was added, as well as another one of Environment, having passed more than 18 months without the municipal government rendering accounts of these studies.
MC's deputy spokesman explained that "we know they lack a municipality project, that their triumvirate is sewn based on favors and needs, but we can not be satisfied with the perspective of four years of paralysis."
Jesús Giménez concluded by stating that "the collaboration with the UPCT, as well as the policies and measures regarding mobility are an essential pillar to define the future of Cartagena as a friendly and sustainable municipality, for that reason, we demand them from the first Full, and if they do not know how to do it, that they copy our proposals and listen to the collectives, as they say 'we are going to start', because they can not beat Cartagena anymore, and if they do not know how to do things, at least they can copy them.
