On the afternoon of Monday, the procession of the Virgen del Carmen was celebrated on the eve of her feast, today, Tuesday, July 16, departing from the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Parish.
Once on the street, he began his tour of the center, first towards the Gates of Murcia, to witness the lowering of the flag that is carried out each evening in the Captaincy General at dusk.
Then, the image of the Virgin walked through what was once known as the neighborhood of ancient Carmen, which encompassed what is the apple in which the Church is currently.
The event was attended by the second deputy mayor, Manuel Padín, along with the councilors of the government team María Casajús, Mercedes García and María Amoraga, and other members of the municipal corporation, such as José López and Gonzalo Abad.
