The deputy mayor and councilor of the Area of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, addressed Monday to the Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community to demand urgent and definitive measures to solve the management problems of the vascular surgery service of the Area 2 of Health, which includes Cartagena, La Manga, La Union, Fuente Alamo and Mazarrón.
According to Arroyo, 'the facts are unjustifiable and the situation worries us.
The facts are that, having medical losses in that service have taken vacations and union liberation, what is translated in bad planning, bad coordination and, therefore, bad management.
Yesterday we spoke with the Ministry to ask for solutions and this morning a meeting is being held in Area 2 with the Murcian Health Service, from which we hope for solutions.
Noelia Arroyo has reported that, according to the Ministry, last March the vascular surgery service was intervened by the SMS for an unjustified increase in its waiting list, an issue that apparently has not been resolved as they continue to derive patients to other hospitals because of poor planning that has been dragging.
