The town of Cuesta Blanca Cartagena celebrates, from Friday 19 to Sunday 28 July, its patron saint festivities in honor of Santiago Apóstol with an extensive program, which highlights, mainly, the evenings with dance, sports activities and gastronomic days of sisterhood.
The parties are organized by the Neighborhood Board of Perín and the Association of Neighbors of Cuesta Blanca, in collaboration with the Department of Celebrations of the City of Cartagena.
They will begin this Friday, July 19, at 10 pm, with the firing of rockets and the opening of the canteen, in charge of the neighborhood association.
In addition, the musical group 'Dúo Minerva' will brighten the start of the festivities, at 10:30 p.m.
On Saturday, July 21, the twelfth edition of the Cuesta Blanca Cycling Tour will be held, departing from the Tari Workshop with the Museum of Scenography and arrival at the Plaza de la Iglesia.
At the end, there will be a draw for a bicycle among all the participants.
That same night the group 'Trío Jema' will perform and will be presented with cotton candy to the audience, starting at 10:30 p.m.
A great convivial meal will invite all the attendees to taste a great paella this Sunday.
The night will be enlivened by the music of the 'Neo Duo'.
The night of July 23 will be dedicated to the little ones with the installation of several inflatables and a mechanical bull.
During the course of the night, popcorn will be distributed to all attendees.
The Ecuador of the festivities will arrive on Tuesday, July 23, with the tasting of a sardine moraga for all the neighbors and visitors who want to get closer to Cuesta Blanca and a children's bingo.
The next day, if the neighbors have not swelled up to eat sardines, they can taste crumbs under the music of the soloist 'Pedro'.
As it can not be otherwise, on Thursday, July 25, the patron saint's festival will be celebrated with the procession, whose participants may wear their flamenco dresses and ride on horses or carriages.
Immediately afterwards, the mass will be celebrated in honor of the saint, accompanied by the rociero choir 'Los Puertos', in the Plaza de la Iglesia, at 9:00 p.m.
In addition, the Noche Flamenca will be celebrated with the performance of the singer 'Adrián Ruiz' and the gift of a small aperitif to the attendees.
The Great Costume Dance, where they will distribute pulguitas with cold cuts, will be enlivened by the 'Dúo Agua Marina' on Friday, July 26.
In the final stretch of the festivities, on Saturday, July 27, the 'First line duo' will perform and fried cakes and chocolate will be tasted.
Finally, on Sunday, July 28, will act the 'Dúo Azabache', which will give way to the fireworks and the final fireworks, which will put the epilogue to the celebrations of this 2019.
