Mechanical Engineering is the most demanded degree in the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) for the next course.
One hundred and thirty students have applied for a place in the first option for this race, with 115 places.
In the set of studies offered, the number of pre-enrollees rises slightly with respect to the last year.
The number of international students who have applied to access the UPCT also increases.
The other titles with the highest demand in the first option in the pre-registration phase of June are Architecture, with 111 applications;
Industrial Technologies, with 110;
Business Administration and Management, with 99 and Electronic Engineering, with 87, according to the data provided by the Vice Chancellorship for Academic Organization and Quality.
The registration period for those admitted in this phase has been opened this Thursday and ends on the next day 16. They are required to register the 643 that have chosen a title of the UPCT in first option.
If they do not enroll, they are excluded from the admission process, according to sources of Academic Management.
The UPCT offers this course 1,125 undergraduate places for new students in the 15 degrees that are accessed through the unique district of the Region of Murcia.
The degree in Industrial Organization Engineering is accessed through the Ministry of Defense.
The UPCT imparts 16 degrees and 26 official master's degrees next year, in addition to the Doctorate programs and their own degrees.
As a novelty, a new master's degree in Telematics Engineering is introduced.
More employment, higher quality and better paid
85% of those who graduate in the UPCT begin to work in less than a year after finishing their undergraduate studies, according to a survey of the alumni of the Polytechnic of Cartagena.
The percentage of job placement in the first months of the degree rises to 91% among graduates in our master's programs.
In addition, 9 out of 10 say they needed the university degree obtained at the Polytechnic of Cartagena to work.
Studying university degrees in Engineering or Architecture provides more employment and more stable and better paid jobs, according to the report 'Labor Insertion of University Graduates', from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
The graduates in degrees in the branch of Engineering and Architecture employed a year after completing their studies earn an average of 25,686 euros, compared to the average of 21,698 euros from the rest of university students registered in the Social Security, that is, 4,000 euros per year more , according to the study conducted by the Ministry with those who finished the race in the 2013-14 academic year.
50% of the UPCT centers offer bilingual teaching in English.
The two degrees of the Telecommunication School have the EUR-ACE® seal of Engineering, a certificate granted by an agency authorized by the European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE).
This seal also has the master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering and the master's degree in Civil Engineering, Channels and Ports.
