The Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz, has visited today the activities that take place in the Workshops of the Sea and in the Summer with Art, as a complementary offer to the Summer Schools.
In the Mare Nostrum CEIP, he was able to see how about 200 children will enjoy the musical theater in July;
while at the Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena accompanied by its president, José García Bravo, has visited the workshops of the sea in which they teach notions about the handling of sails, knots, parts of ships or routes until the beginning of August a total of 240 children divided into three sessions.
All these activities in the different centers aimed at children under 12 years old meet the objective of "reconciling work life but, above all, that children have the enjoyment in the summer period of leisure," says the councilor.
Summer with Art aims to combine different artistic expressions and propose alternative activities such as musical theater at the hands of the Musicalízate school, "children are expected to have a space open to imagination and the development of creativity", says the mayor during their visit to the CEIP Mare Nostrum, where children learn with musical activities and dance, but also with crafts.
On the other hand, the Talleres del Mar try to value the great natural resource that we have in Cartagena as it is the sea, "these programs allow their use so that students know the nautical activities that can be done on our coast but also respect for the sea ", continues the councilor in her visit to the club accompanied by the president, who has confirmed that last year the number of sessions of these workshops was extended due to the great demand.
