The Cartagena Folk Festival concluded its tenth edition last weekend, consolidating itself as one of the unavoidable cultural events in the port city.
The festival had a large influx of public among local and regional fans of fusion music, as well as tourists who were visiting the city.
From last Friday July 5 and until Sunday 7, the festival organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, continues its growth with a solid program aimed at both audience followers of the musical style of fusion, as well as for the amateur , who discovers and awakens his interest in this music, thanks to the concerts and the quality of the proposed activities.
The intense wind on Saturday night forced the organization to suspend for safety the performance of the Panamera Collective group, giving rise to an improvised performance at street level of the group before hundreds of attendees.
In Cartagena Folk it has been possible to enjoy the musical, ludic and gastronomic activities programmed during the three days as the parade of the bagpipes band Celticue, the percussion group D'Akokán, an international exhibition of Capoeira (Grupo Abadá Capoeira), the applauded Fuman Musicoloco's children's show that fascinated the little ones.
It was also counted, during all the days, with the sessions of Sedo DJ Mestizo.
Although the protagonists were the musical groups with the free performances of Malvariche, Oh Brother, in addition to Mista Btista and the Speed ​​& Friendo.
The first ones presented Abonico, the album that celebrates its more than 30 years on stage.
On the other hand, Mista Btista and the Speed ​​& Friendo had fun with their mix of folk-rock and Celtic reminiscences.
The final touch was made by the group Oh Brother on Sunday, which especially dazzled the large Anglo-Saxon public, who came from a cruise ship docked in the port.
