Last Saturday, July 6, the House of Folklore of La Palma hosted the inauguration of the XXVII edition of the National Folklore Festival in the region of Cartagena starring the exhibition 'Land Inherited' documentary photographer Joaquin Giró.
The official presentation of the festival was attended by the second deputy mayor, Manuel Padín, together with the delegate councilor of the Culture Department, Carlos Piñana, who shared the day with the organizers and residents of La Palma, also visiting the photographer's exhibition.
The work can be visited until the end of the festivities on Saturday, July 13, when the traditional gala of the Folklore Festival is held to put an end to the festival, organized by the Folkloric Group 'Ciudad de Cartagena' of this council together with the Department of Culture of the City Council.
Throughout the week there will be various activities centered around music with performances and concerts or guided visits to the House of Folklore.
