On Saturday, July 6, Cartagena was the venue for the VI National Music Band Festival.
The Plaza San Francisco received three groups: the Municipal Music Band Association of Molina de Segura, the Musician-Cultural Association Julian Sanchez Maroto de Manzanares (Ciudad Real) and the Musical Association Sauces de Cartagena as hostess.
The event has counted with the collaboration of the Department of Culture and Celebrations of the City of Cartagena, whose municipal officials Carlos Piñana and Juan Pedro Torralba, were present.
As a novelty this year, the Sauces School Band acted as the opening act, to involve the musicians in this type of event and that the public knew them.
The culmination of the event was given by the three bands participating in the contest with the performance of the popular pasodoble 'Suspiros de España' by maestro Antonio Álvarez Alonso.
