The Local Government Board, gathered this afternoon, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the appointment of municipal representatives in different agencies and entities such as the Port Authority, the University Social Council, the UNED, Cartagena , Port of Cultures, Roman Theater, Tucarsa, Lhicarsa, Cartagena High Speed, ADLE, Carmen Conde Board, OAGRC, the Local Security Board and various municipal councils, among others.

The Board has also taken a step further in defining the distribution of powers by delegating part of those that correspond to the different councilors of area and delegates that make up the municipal government.

It is an agreement complementary to the decree of delegations of the Mayor's Office that grants each councilor, within its delegation, the power, among others, to grant licenses and impose sanctions, as well as to contract services for a maximum amount of 15,000 euros and works below 40,000.

Other specific ones have been attributed in detail in each area or delegation, which can be consulted in the proposal.

With this, all the powers and functions that each of the members of the Government will exercise will be fully defined.

In this sense, during the Meeting several material errors have been detected that had been detected in the previous decree of delegations of the Mayor's Office, regarding the numbering of sections, but that do not affect or modify the contents thereof.

The Board has also approved a budget modification amounting to 222,565 euros for salaries of the City Council's political staff.

The agreement is motivated among other issues by the new configuration of the municipal Corporation, with a group and new exclusive dedications, which has forced to increase the item contemplated for this purpose in the 2019 budget, extended from 2018.

The money for this will come out of the interest on late payment, in which the City has achieved savings.

Of the 222,565 euros, about 158 ​​thousand euros will be to face the basic retributions;

and about 64,500 for social security contributions.

The budget modification has been made with a view to the celebration next Thursday of the full organizational of the Municipal Corporation, which must approve the compensation of all councilors and take possession of the new councilor, Mercedes Garcia.
