The City of Cartagena will put a room of the Cartagonova stadium at the disposal of the clubs of the Football Club Cartagena and will support these groups in their initiative to request the organization in the city of the United Hobbies congress.
This has been reported by the deputy mayor and councilor of the area of Social Services and Sports, Noelia Arroyo, during a meeting held this afternoon with representatives of the clubs in the Cartagonova.
Its president, Miguel Angel Muñoz, has said that it is "a historic day because it has achieved the desired headquarters for the Federation" and thanked the support "both the City Council and the club have shown to the candidacy of Cartagena for the congress.
Arroyo stressed "the important role that the clubs play with their support and support for the first team in Cartagena.
They are the visible face of that player number 12 that becomes so valuable to all teams and we believe that it is fully justified that they have a venue in the stadium to meet and prepare their activities.
It is a modest space of something more than thirty square meters but that the federation considers that it will be useful as an office. "
The deputy mayor recalls that "the clubs represent the most committed part of the fans and they know how to organize themselves to push the team in the field, but they also support the team and the city both on and off the field.
They organize the trips and they work as a very useful link between the club and the fans. "
The meeting was attended by the delegate councilor of Sports, Diego Ortega, members of the federation of pañas, and the manager of Cartagena, Manolo Breis.
Arroyo has known details of the initiative of the supporters to bring to Cartagena the Hobbies United Congress in 2022 and has expressed the support of the City Council to the proposal.
The congress is a great event of coexistence between clubs that this year has gathered 1,300 fans in Madrid.
"We have been talking for a few days about the possibility that the federation will present Cartagena's candidacy to the Aficiones Unidas congress and today I told the Cartagena clubs that they have the support of the City Council and that we are going to organize ourselves to see how we can help them prepare the candidacy, "said Arroyo.
The Federation of Peñas del Futbol Club Cartagena, which was born in 2007, integrates a total of 24 clubs that bring together 2,300 supporters.
Among its objectives are the organization of amateur travel, the promotion of the creation of clubs throughout the region and the projection of the image of Cartagena in meetings and trips outside the municipality.
