This past June they closed the course theater workshops that the Department of Social Services launched during the 2018/19 school year in different clubs for the elderly and in which a hundred people from this group have participated.
The theater brings a multitude of benefits to the elderly, giving them a space to develop their creativity, increase attention, concentration and memory, power also social bonds, improves behaviors and attitudes, reduces loneliness and sadness, thus achieving an improvement in quality of life.
These workshops, which have been carried out throughout the course, by the hand of the instructor Francisca Olmos, have been developed in the Senior Clubs of Miranda, Molinos Marfagones, La Aljorra, Santa Ana and La Puebla.
On June 7, the club of Molinos Marfagones was the first to close the workshop with the representation of the work: "The cardboard houses" of the H º Álvarez Quintero.
The theater group Santa Ana closed his on June 14 with the play "Total Liquidation" by Francisco Romero, which he represented for all club members and residents of Santa Ana.
The elders of La Ajorra, have wanted to end their theater workshop, with the representation of the work: "As is the Service" by Alfonso Paso, who represented on two occasions: on June 21 in the cultural week of said club and the 24th at San Isidro parties.
Finally, the theater group of Miranda also closed its theatrical season, performing in public the play "La Esposa y Chismosa" by Hº Álvarez Quintero, on June 28.
All these performances were represented with great success, bringing together more than 600 spectators.
