The Department of Infrastructure of the City of Cartagena has undertaken this morning a punctual emergency action in the Gran Vía de La Manga, whose purpose was to ensure the safety of the vehicles that circulate through it on a daily basis.
In particular, it has proceeded to repair the road in a section of the entrance lane to La Manga, at the height of Las Sirenas (between the Tío Andrés tavern and the Gola bridge) that presented important deficiencies and it was not possible to postpone .
From the first hours of the morning the workers of the company hired by the City Council have proceeded to repair some 2,000 square meters of asphalt, with the goal of having it completed early this afternoon, around 16 hours ..
As a result, it was necessary to cut the entrance lane to La Manga and give the vehicles an alternative route, resulting in delays.
Since the council has apologized to users for the inconvenience caused and it has been noted that it is not expected to make another performance on the Gran Vía throughout the summer.
