This Monday, July 1, have started the summer activities that each year organizes the Department of Education in which more than 1,300 students under 12 years will participate and will be developed during the months of July and August 2019 .
Although several of the activities have an additional cost, some of them are totally free for participants, such as Summer Schools with a Dining Room, which pursue the double objective of guaranteeing adequate food for children during the summer season as well. facilitate family and work-life balance for those students whose parents continue to work.
"For us it is very important to offer this type of services, first because we guarantee that all the children of the municipality, regardless of their family income, can enjoy the summer.
And secondly because we help them to reinforce what they have learned during the course and to stimulate other more creative facets ", pointed out the Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz.
This year there have been eleven educational centers that will host different workshops ranging from the stimulation of creative imagination for children, to theater, juggling, reading and writing, science and experiments, storytelling, mathematics, physical activity and relaxation .

In addition, the Department of Education has subsidized other activities such as Talleres del Mar, which will be held at the Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena and Summer with Art 2019, including Musical Theater, which will take place at the CEIP Mare Nostrum , and in which there are still vacancies.
