The Isaac Peral Hall of the Faculty of Business Sciences welcomed this morning the opening ceremony of the III edition of the International Summer Campus of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena where the protagonist was the submerged heritage of the Murcia Region. hand of the paper by Carlota Pérez-Reverte.

The rector of the UPCT, Alejandro Díaz, together with the general director of Universities and Investigation in functions, Juan Monzó, and the Councilor of Education of the City of Cartagena, Maria Irene Ruiz, have been in charge of giving the opening to these courses that " they contribute to the education of students and adults, besides giving a development to the cultural, patrimonial and tourist richness of Cartagena ", comments the councilor.

During the two summer months, July and August, it is intended that Cartagena has a wide range of training that combines culture and leisure with the launch of a total of 23 courses along with other activities, as well as enhance academic activity outside of the school year.

These activities are directed not only to the population of Cartagena but also to international audiences and thus promote tourism summer courses with very varied themes such as languages, water activities, initiation to translation and interpretation, personal defense, or marketing, among others .

After the presentation of the activities, the underwater archaeologist Carlota Pérez-Reverte has dealt with a practical case of a project that was carried out in 2014 in Isla Grosa, La Manga del Mar Menor, where a visitable route for divers was created.
