The Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, who attended this morning to the inauguration of seven new lawyers of the Bar Association of Cartagena, has expressed the support of the City Council to the Administration of Justice and all those who work in it.
Arroyo recalled the commitment of the new municipal government with the City of Justice of Cartagena and has assured that they will promote this project before the Government of Spain "as an expression of the social demand" of citizens.
In addition, it has announced that it is going to establish a temporary headquarters for the courts of First Instance, of the Social and of the Mercantile.
Several options are being considered, including the Hotel Peninsular.
For the City of Justice it was approved that the headquarters were in the facilities of the Navy Subsistence Factory, located on Avenida Reina Victoria.
The dean of the Bar Association of Cartagena, Antonio Navarro, has been confident that the Municipal Government will fulfill what was promised and establish a City of Justice in the place agreed by the majority of municipal groups and the social agents of Cartagena.
Even so, Navarro assures that a transitory solution is needed until that new judicial headquarters is a reality.
"Right now, the District of Cartagena has many, many less judicial services than those that correspond to it.
Last year they had to come to Cartagena a Court of First Instance, one of the Civil and another of the Mercantile and could not come because of lack of space ".
At the inauguration of the seven new lawyers, also 26 members of this school have received a gold and silver badge for the 50 and 25 years respectively of the profession.
The new lawyers have sworn the Spanish Constitution and have shown loyalty to the Spanish legal system, as the law marks to be able to exercise the position.
The president of the Superior Court of Justice of Murcia Miguel Alfonso Pascual del Riquelme, the Chief Prosecutor of Murcia José Luis Díaz Manzanera and the president of the Provincial Court of Murcia, Andrés Pacheco Guevara, were present at the event.
