The José María Artés de Cartagena Square, located near the Consistorial Palace, will host from Thursday, June 27 and until July 23, the exhibition 'Leonardo: observe, question, experiment'.

This exhibition is the result of the collaboration of the City of Cartagena and Fundación La Caixa, under the collaboration agreement recently signed by both institutions.

The inauguration of the exhibition, which will take place at 11:30 am, will be attended by the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, the Councilor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, together with the commercial director CaixaBank in the Region of Murcia, Amador Carmona, the delegate of the "la Caixa" Banking Foundation in the Region of Murcia, Lourdes Toribio and the curator of the exhibition, Érika Goyarrola.

This exhibition aims to be an approximation to the figure of Leonardo da Vinci.

He was a character ahead of his time, which stood out in multiple disciplines and in which his footprint still remains, as in painting, engineering, anatomy, geometry and botany, among others.

Directed to all audiences, the exhibition will offer a dynamic and interactive approach to their work and thought, with the aim of awakening the curiosity and desire to learn from visitors.

The show, which has the collaboration of the Château du Clos Lucé-Parc Leonardo da Vinci - where Leonardo spent his last years of life -, takes place in two spaces: an interior, with an audiovisual show and games that connect the thinking of Leonardo with our day to day;

and an exterior one, with four large models that faithfully reproduce some of Leonardo's most modern and premonitory ideas.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the morning and from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the afternoon and evening.

The passes will last thirty minutes every day, being the last half hour before closing.

This sample will have guided tours from Monday to Sunday at 12 noon and at 7 pm.

School groups and other groups can visit it from Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 am in the morning and from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the afternoon.
