On Friday, June 28, the popular festivities begin at Los Puertos de Santa Bárbara, which will last until Sunday, July 7.
Ten days with activities for all audiences in which there will be music, gastronomy, sports activities or children's games.
The festivities are organized by its Festival Commission and its Neighborhood Association and in them the Department of Social Services, Celebrations and Citizen Participation of the City of Cartagena and the Municipal Neighborhood Board of Molinos Marfagones collaborate.
The Cartagena delegation will begin its festivities this Friday with the rocket firing followed by the opening of the canteen.
This is a special day, since at 22:30, there will be a commemorative act to the figure of the neighbor Salvador Sevilla Bernal, in which the stage will be named in his honor.
In addition, the musical group 'Dúo Minerva' will be able to enjoy music at the evening where they will also taste bread with sobrasada to keep up the party.
The party will continue on Saturday with the start of the different championships, such as the table football for children, the musical performance of 'Agua Marina' or the night of the Great Michironada.
Sunday June 30 marks the 40th anniversary of popular festivals, whose origin dates back to 1979, with the musical performance of 'Dúo Nerea'.
The week will begin by dedicating its activities to children with games for children and at night there will be mats and animation with a mobile disk.
On Tuesday the traditional 'Day of the housewives' will be celebrated with a convivial dinner with dishes prepared by the members of this group and will be performed, at 22:45 hours, the play' I am under the next, and you? ", written by Adolfo Marsillach and interpreted by the actors Enrique Escudero and Cristina Muiño.
Crumbs will be the protagonists of Wednesday night and there will be a draw for a ham, a loin and a cheese ball.
To lower the crumbs, the participants of the different championships will be presented with mojitos.
On Thursday, July 4 will continue the festivities with the celebration of the Foam Festival from 22:15 and continue the different championships.
Friday is the day dedicated to the Third Age with the performance of musical duo 'Jema' and, also, will follow the competitions.
Already in the early morning you can taste chocolate with scones.
On Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7, will be the big days of these holidays.
Saturday will start with a cycling tour through the streets of the town, after which a bicycle will be raffled among all participants.
That night, the musical duo 'Primera Línea' will perform and a costume party will be held with gifts for the youngest children. In addition, the Absolute Table Soccer Championship will be held.
To end the holidays, Sunday will start the day with a Mass at the Hermitage of the Ports of Santa Barbara, at 10:30 am.
The performance that will close these days of celebrations will be in charge of 'Gala' and its pasodobles 'Los Puertos de Santa Bárbara'.
During the course of the night the trophies of the different championships will be handed out.
