The plenary session of the City of Cartagena, assembled this morning in an extraordinary way, under the presidency of the vice-mayor, Noelia Arroyo, has taken notice of the letter of resignation to his deputy councilor Manuel Mora Quinto.
This way the procedures are initiated so that the Electoral Board can issue a new credential in the name of Mercedes García, next candidate of the PSOE list in the municipal elections of last May 26.
Once the credential issued the new councilor, who was already in the last term, may take office at a next full municipal and join the tasks of the municipal government.
NEW LOCATIONS IN THE PLENARY HALL
In today's session, the municipal groups have already premiered their new locations in the plenary hall, once the Municipal Government of PP, PSOE and Citizens has been formed.
This occupies the entire bench on the side of the main balcony;
while the councilors of the opposition of MC Cartagena, VOX and Unidas Podemos-Izquierda Unida-Verdes-Equo, are located on the bench at the side of the access doors.
CONVERGENCE PROGRAM
After the plenary session, in which there were no speeches and lasted for a few moments, the deputy mayor, Noelia Arroyo, answered the questions from the journalists about the elaboration of a convergence program by the three forces that make up the municipal government.
Arroyo has expressed the will of all of them to put the well-being of the municipality before the end of this convergence program, "over and above their own interests, party interests and personal interests", since "Cartagena needed a pact for stability" .
