The Albujón is celebrating its patron saint festivities in honor of San Juan Bautista until June 30.
A very special festivities in which there is a special predilection for the horse, an animal with a lot of history in the traditions albujoneras.
Yesterday, Monday June 24, the albujoneros took to process their employer through the streets of the deputation Cartagena, accompanied by a brass band and a group of ladies with cloth and blanket.
The procession was attended by the Councilor for the area of ​​Education, Employment and Business, María Irene Ruiz, the Councilor for the Decentralization and Citizen Participation area, Diego Ortega, and the Special Delegate for Tourism and Business, Cristina Pérez.
After the procession, a children's dance was held by Lorena.
The albujoneros celebrate today, Tuesday, June 25, the Children's Day with a multi-adventure park with inflatable and water castles, a snack for children and children's entertainment.
The next day, the adults celebrate their day with a Mass, a meal, a Domino Championship and the musical performance of the musical group 'Dúo Jema'.
On Thursday, June 27 is Women's Day and a meal has been scheduled with the ADESMA Association and the performance of Comedian Larry and later, the musical group 'Dúo Primera Linea'.
On Friday it's the turn of the youngest members of the Cartagena deputation with the dinner of rocks, where they will taste a large omelet of potatoes, and, a macro party.
On Saturday June 29 there will be a parade of floats through the streets of Albujón, the migas contest and the musical performance of 'Universal'.
On Sunday June 30 is the end of parties with the Fiesta del Agua and a great paella.
The parties are organized by the Association of Neighbors of El Albujón, in collaboration with the Department of Celebrations of the City of Cartagena.
