Cartagena was filled with rhythm and sound on Saturday June 22 to celebrate the fifth edition of the Music Festival 2019. All styles of music were combined thanks to the work of bands, orchestras, choirs, soloists and DJs who joined in the streets and in the Port of Cartagena to commemorate this date that is celebrated in 750 cities around the world.
This event has had the organization of the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena.
In these activities the mayor of the David Martínez Noguera area was present.
The Festival of Music this year has had activities that have been carried out in different areas of the city.
In the Regional Museum of Modern Art (MURAM) was exhibited 'Urban art.
Street Legends' + 'PerroFlowtas Crew': The Fist of Karma and Bboy Due.
In the afternoon, the center of Cartagena hosted a parade of the members of the Quillo Children's Drum Section.
In the Plaza del Icue, the children were able to participate in an experiential music workshop at the hands of Hayat's Chocolate Factory.
On the other hand, Abadá Capoeira Cartagena carried out an activity on this Brazilian dance.
A few meters further on, the Plaza de San Sebastián was the scene of a piano and saxophone concert offered by María García and Francisco Cánovas.
In the Athenas Club Room, the concert of the Music Festival brought together Milena Wagner, Guille Solano, Claudia Vergotti, Gekko Farm and Via de Escape.
In addition, the Music Festival allowed citizens to play instruments in the street spontaneously and without prior registration.
The streets Mayor, Honda and Santa Florentina were full of rhythm with the acoustic sounds that the pedestrians provided with autonomous sound equipment.
There was also a piano in the Plaza de San Sebastián for anyone who wanted to play live.
WEEKEND DJ
On Saturday, June 22, the Weekend DJ was also held at the Explanada del Puerto de Cartagena.
In this free event were Tony Aguilar, broadcaster of Los 40 and of TVE in Eurovision, Abel Ramos, renowned DJ of international scope, Urban Ct Fest winner DJ Thraser and Cartagena producer Salmerón.
All the attendees were able to experience an exciting musical show full of rhythm, color and sound.
