This Friday June 21, the councilor of the Tourism, Commerce, Health and Consumption area of ​​Cartagena, Manuel Padín has received the 12 Q Tourist Quality flags that will be flying this summer on the beaches of the municipality.
The ceremony took place in Madrid, in the Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Tourism.
The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, the Secretary of State, Isabel Oliver, and the president of the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE), Miguel Mirones, attended the event.
In this way, the ICTE recognizes the effort made by the City of Cartagena to maintain the quality of the services of its beaches and ports of the municipality.
The 12 flags obtained place Cartagena at the head of the Region of Murcia, being the municipality with the most distinctive Q of Tourist Quality.
A total of 40 beaches in the Region of Murcia have received this recognition this year.
Next to the 12 in Cartagena are the seven of Mazarrón, six of Águilas, six of Los Alcázares, five of San Javier and four of San Pedro del Pinatar.
The beaches that will wear this distinctive quality in Cartagena will be the same as last year: San Ginés, Cala Cortina, Levante Beach of Cabo de Palos, Lost Boat (La Manga), Galúa (La Manga), Cala del Pino (La Manga) ), Cavanna Beach (La Manga), La Gola (La Manga), Honda Beach, Mar de Cristal, Levante Beach of Islas Minores and Playa Paraíso.
They are joined by the five blue flags recently awarded for the quality of their waters to the beaches of Cala Cortina, San Ginés and Cuartel in La Azohía, Isla Plana and Levante in Cabo de Palos;
Along with those of the marina of the Club de Regatas de Cartagena and the blue trails of the Port of Cartagena, it walks 10,000 steps in La Manga and from Church to Church, between Isla Plana and La Azohía.
