The course of the Literary Workshop of the Popular University celebrated its closing during the last afternoon of Thursday, the 20th at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the arrival of Federico García Lorca at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid, where he met geniuses such as Dalí, Buñuel and Alberti.

And thanks to his stay there, he was also able to listen to the lectures of Albert Einstein and Marie Curie.

For this reason, Verso y Fuego has revolved around the works of nine contemporary men and women of Lorca, all related to the Student Residence well with the Residencia de Señoritas and the Lyceum Club, and that were part of the transformation process vital that meant for the Granada author his stay in the Residence.

There a young poet entered and from there came the best of the time.

Participants at the act participated at the Bazar de Letras of La Palma, the students of Barrio Peral and the participants of the two shifts of the Bazaar at the Luzzy with their instructor, Isabel Hernández, who thanked them for the work and dedication during this course so special.

Finally, the fire ceremony was held where the wishes that the attendees wanted to burn one more year were awakened, waiting for them to be fulfilled.
