The new Local Government Board of the City of Cartagena has been constituted this afternoon under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
The collegiate body in which the main decisions of the municipal executive will be made is made up of councilors of the PP, PSOE and Citizens, responsible for the nine Areas of Government in which the organization of the town hall has been structured.
These Government Areas have been established in a decree of the Mayor's Office and are the following:
Area of ​​Mayor's Office, Town Planning, Housing and Strategic Projects, Archaeological Heritage and Environment, which will be held by Ana Belén Castejón.
Area of ​​Vice-mayor, Social Welfare and Sports,
Noelia Arroyo
Tourism, Commerce, Health and Consumer Affairs Area:
Manuel Padín
Finance, New Technologies and Interior Area:
Esperanza Nieto
Decentralization and Citizen Participation Area: Diego Ortega
Infrastructure, Services and Litoral Area: María Casajús
Culture, Youth and Equality Area: David Martínez
Citizen Safety, Public Roads and Celebrations Area: Juan Pedro Torralba
Education, Employment and Business Area: María Irene Ruiz
They are joined by Alejandra Gutiérrez, who will act as spokesperson, while the secretary of the Board will be Manuel Padín.
In addition to these areas, various special delegations have been created within them that will correspond to the following councilors:
Sustainable City and European Projects, in the Area of ​​Mayor's Office, Urbanism, Housing and Strategic Projects, Archaeological Heritage and Environment, which will be exercised by Cristina Mora
Sports and Social Services, in the Area of ​​Vice-Mayor, Social Welfare and Sports, at the head of which will be Diego Ortega and Mercedes García (once they take possession), respectively.
Tourism, in the Tourism, Commerce, Health and Consumption Area, which will correspond to Cristina Pérez
Transparency, General Services and Electronic Administration, as well as Patrimony and Contracting, in the Area of ​​Finance, New Technologies and Interior, which will have Alejandra Gutiérrez and María Amoraga in charge, respectively.
Urban Services and Projects, within the Infrastructure, Services and Coastal Area, which will correspond to Juan Pedro Torralba
Culture, within the Culture, Youth and Equality Area, which will be responsible to: Carlos Piñana
Celebrations, within the Area of ​​Public Safety, Public Road and Celebrations, for María Casajús
Company, within the Area of ​​Education, Employment and Business, for Cristina Pérez
As for municipal holdings, there will be two: the first with the name of deputy mayor will Noelia Arroyo, and the second, Manuel Padín.
The periodicity of the ordinary sessions will be biweekly, and will be held in the Town Hall.
Finally, the mayor has given an account of the decree that empowers all the councilors of the Corporation for the celebration of civil weddings, except the two VOX, who had expressed their desire not to officiate.
