Cartagena Port of Cultures presents an intense summer where you can enjoy a story every day and live an experience every night.
For this, this year intensified guided tours with food tasting, theatrical visits in the mornings, evenings and evenings, boat trips at sunset and themed dinners that take "The story to scenes", where culture, art, gastronomy and music are fused with the rich heritage of Cartagena, offering a living city where the protagonist is the one who visits it.
On the other hand, the image is renewed, more modern and fresh, unifying all its museums and tourist transport under the slogan "History begins now".
The new proposal is influenced by Roman architecture through its roads, walls and mosaics.
It aims to integrate all the museums and sites of the consortium as well as serve as a link with the Cartagena tourism brand.
The history of the city began more than 2000 years ago, but the history that visitors are going to remember begins now.
DAY GUIDED ROUTES
On Monday of July, August and September will take place 'Cartagena under the Legion Condor', which will take visitors to know how they protected civilians and military, in the anti-aircraft shelters and defended with artillery and tanks both sides during the Civil war.
The activity will begin at 11 am at the Refugio Museum of the Civil War.
The general price is 10 euros.
The members of the Club Cartagena Port of Cultures will have the price at 5 euros.
On Tuesdays of July, August and September, 'Citizens of an Empire' will offer a guided tour to learn how the citizens of Carthago Nova lived.
This activity will go through the Roman Theater of Cartagena, the Barrio del Foro Romano and the Casa de la Fortuna.
It will start at 11 am from the Museo del Teatro Romano.
The individual price is € 13, while the reduced rate will be € 10 and members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas will pay € 6.50.
Every Wednesday of July, August and September the guided route 'Isaac Peral, the inventor and the sea' will be offered.
In it, will be announced the defensive systems in the Port, the bay in a boat trip and the Cartagena inventor of the nineteenth century, Isaac Peral.
The activity will begin at 11 am from the Royal Port Scale.

'Cartagena, sabor Tres Culturas' will take place every Thursday in July, August and September starting at 11 am at the Museo del Teatro Romano.
This guided medieval route includes the exhibition of Isabel the Catholic in the Castillo de la Concepción, from where you can see the port and the city, down to the Roman Theater.
The general price will be 13 euros in the general rate, 10 in the reduced rate and 6.50 euros for the members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.
On Fridays of July, August and September will take place 'From Qart Hadast to Carthago Nova'.
On this guided tour, participants can relive the Punic Wars with the founding of the Carthaginian city and the splendor of the Roman city.

THEATRALIZED ROUTES
On Saturdays of July, August and September there will be two dramatized routes through different enclaves of the port area of ​​Cartagena.
On the one hand, there will be 'La aventura de Colón'.
On this route, Christopher Columbus awaits us at the Castillo de la Concepción to discover new worlds, ending with a trip on the Tourist Boat.
The route will start at 11:30 am from the Castillo de la Concepción.
The price will be 14 euros for the general public, 12 euros will cost the reduced rate and members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas will pay 7 euros.
In addition, 'Romans for the world: destination Carthago Nova' will offer a dramatized route full of winks and humor capsules where we will visit the most important sites knowing different characters to tell us how their life has been in Carthago Nova.
The activity will begin at 11:30 am from the Museo del Teatro Romano.

SPECIAL VISITS
The centers of Cartagena Port of Cultures will also offer this summer experiences related to the figure of Isabel La Católica and virtual visits to the Roman Theater of Cartagena.
On Tuesdays and Fridays of July and August, 'Yo, la Reina' will allow us to meet Isabel La Católica, who awaits us at the Castillo de la Concepción to explain details of her coronation, the importance of her marriage with Fernando II, or her relationship with Christopher Columbus.
This dramatized visit will begin at 6:30 p.m.

From July 1 to September 15, 'Isabel and her time' offers an exhibition with the costumes of the hit series Isabel de RTVE, where the decisive moments of the reign of the Catholic Monarchs are explained.
The sessions will be at 11: 00h, 1:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6: 30 p.m. * (except Tuesdays and Fridays for the theatrical visit).

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in July and August at 6:30 p.m., virtual visits will be made to the Roman Theater of Cartagena.
For 10 euros, visitors will be able to see with 360 degree vision what this venue was like in its time.
Every Wednesday of July and August, 'Theatrum, an afternoon of theater' will allow the whole family to see what the show buildings were like in the Roman Empire.
It will be at 18:30 hours at the Roman Theater Museum.

NIGHT PROGRAMMING
Cartagena Port of Cultures has also prepared a series of nightly shows with visits and dramatized routes.
There will be theatrical performances with thematic dinners.
On Friday, July 12 and Friday, September 6 at 9:30 pm, there will be a medieval dinner with a theater show for 55 euros at the Castillo de la Concepción.
A dinner inspired by medieval flavors where a dozen actors will recreate decisive moments of the reign of the Catholic Monarchs for Cartagena and its port.
On July 26 and August 9 and 23, the Roman priest Apuleius will immerse the participants in the mysterious rituals of the goddess Isis in 'Isis, the Goddess of the Nile'.
It will be in the Barrio del Foro Romano at 9:00 p.m.
