The delivery of diplomas to the third class of students of the School of Welding has taken place at the NAVANTIA facilities in Cartagena, an initiative set up by the company, whose objective is to train and approve Vocational Training students in Welding and Boilermaking, mainly.
This third class is made up of a dozen students, from the Polytechnic Institute of Vocational Training and the Salesianos school, both from Cartagena.
One of the main virtues of this course is the high employability that it offers, since all the students who have participated in this promotion, as in the previous ones, have obtained a job, either in NAVANTIA, in any of its auxiliary industries or in other companies in the metal sector.
Among the three promotions, there have been thirty students who have achieved this goal.
The employability of the students shows the quality of the teaching offered in the course.
In fact, some of the students have already started working as a welder in the works of the submarines.
The course lasts 400 hours, eminently practical.
The training is given by highly qualified NAVANTIA welders, taking advantage of their know-how in a demanding job such as welding in submarines.
In this sense, it is worth noting the work carried out from Shipyard Production, as well as Human Resources, not only at the time of launching and developing this initiative, but also to guarantee future editions of the School.
The graduated students are Francisco Javier Sánchez Rodríguez, Manuel García Cano, José Fructuoso Denia, Álvaro Celdrán Escarabajal, Víctor Castejón Ramírez, Kevin Andrés Cabrera Morocho, Nelson Andrés Cruz Trujillo, David Sánchez Pagán, Adrián Serrano Rodrigo and Roy Andrés Zaruma Merino.
Representatives of the Polytechnic Institute and the Salesians also attended the presentation of the diplomas.
