The National Center of Chemistry of Cartagena offers these courses for the unemployed, who currently have a recruitment rate of 75 percent of students
The Center of National Reference of Cartagena, dependent on the SEF, has launched eight new training courses in the field of chemistry and new technologies, with the participation of 120 students.
This training is currently the one that presents a higher recruitment index among all the SEF training offer for the unemployed.
Specifically, 74.5 percent of the participants in chemistry training courses are hired in the six months following the end of the course.
These data are derived from the quarterly report 'Insert' of the SEF, which measures the relationship between training and subsequent access to a job.
Those interested in participating in any of these actions can still register in two of the courses through the Center's website, specifically in the 'Operations of transformation of thermoplastic polymers' and in the 'Assembly and repair of microcomputer systems'.
The profiles with training in polymer transformation are of special interest for companies in the plastics sector, since the Region is the fourth province of Spain by export volume of thermoplastics.
Among the six remaining courses is the one of 'Basic operations in chemical plant', which offers a qualification very demanded by companies of the Region of Murcia like Sabic, Chemical Derivatives or Kinsy.
These companies have hired numerous students graduated from previous courses.
This training teaches students to perform all basic operations and control of various chemical processes, from the control of operation, to the start-up and shutdown of machines, equipment and facilities.
Likewise, the participants learn to maintain the conditions of safety and quality established, and to take responsibility for the basic maintenance of the equipment in the work area.
The other five courses offered by the center are those of 'Microbiological and biotechnological tests', 'Soldadura oxigás' (of special interest for Navantia and its subcontracting companies);
'Teaching vocational training for employment';
'Organization and control of non-destructive tests' (also of interest to Navantia, for the construction of submarines S-80), and 'Organization and control of the manufacture of pharmaceutical and related products' (of interest to the pharmaceutical sector) .
Courses for unemployed people such as the 'Organization and control of non-destructive tests' are only taught in Spain in the Cartagena center and in the Training Center for Cold and Air Conditioning Technologies, in Madrid.
