The premises of the Association of Neighbors of the Sector Station of Cartagena hosted this Thursday, June 6, the celebration of the IV Community Meeting of Intercultural Community Intervention Project (ICI Project) that promotes the "la Caixa" Welfare Projects and develops the City of Cartagena and Cepaim Foundation.
Participating in the Community Meeting are representatives of the institutions that promote the process in the territory, such as the Cartagena City Council, Obra Social la Caixa and the Cepaim Foundation, as well as other members of the region's professional resources, collectives and associations, as well as citizens of the region. both neighborhoods.
The ICI Project, implemented in Cartagena since 2014, sets out objectives such as improving the living conditions in the neighborhood, training local actors to deal autonomously with the challenges of coexistence and preventing situations of conflict.
In short, launch a community process to promote intercultural coexistence in these neighborhoods with a rich cultural, ethnic, linguistic and religious diversity.
This Meeting has been proposed as a space in which to make known to the three protagonists the main information, conclusions and challenges related to the evolution of the Community Process developed in the Historical Center and Sector Station of Cartagena, thus reinforcing the community strategy that is implementing in the territory.
During this presentation, a brief historical tour of the Community Process was made, recalling the previous phases that have been developed: Monograph, Diagnosis and Community Programming, highlighting the main advances obtained during these five years through collaborative work among the different agents of the community.

The Encounter was a good opportunity to present in community the V EAV ConVive in your neighborhood: Open for Holidays, which will be held from June 25 to July 18, with various activities that involve the different entities that are part of the community process.
The Intercultural Community Intervention Project is promoted by the Obra Social "la Caixa" in 37 neighborhoods of Spain in collaboration with different administrations and social entities, it is a social action initiative with a preventive orientation and that fosters intercultural relations, favors cohesion social and seeks to empower society for the coexistence and community development of their territories.
In Cartagena, the ICI Project has been carried out since July 2014 through the collaboration of the City of Cartagena and the Cepaim Foundation.
