This Friday, June 7, 24 students from Italy, Estonia and Spain participating in the exchange program 'Guarantee your youth guarantee' have visited the Palace of Cartagena.
This project arises from the collaboration between the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena and the Euronation Association and is co-funded by the Erasmus + Program of the European Union.
It aims to know the opinions of young Europeans about the Youth Guarantee Program in these three countries.
The Councilor for Youth in Cartagena, David Martinez, has received the participants of this project.
Previously, the young participants have known the facilities of the Youth Council of Cartagena, where they have explained the different services and programs that are developed.
In addition, they have seen the means and existing resources to work with the beneficiary population of the Youth Guarantee in Cartagena.
The Councilor for Youth in Cartagena, David Martinez, said that "it is a young meeting that is having great success in recent years among young people.
It is also a cultural exchange, because the cultures of the participating countries are put in common ".
The project manager of the Euronation Association, Antonio Pedreño, says that the participants in 'Guarantee your youth guarantee' "are going to spend six days exchanging opinions and impressions on the youth guarantee process and how it is in each country to have results of how improve the project. "
The exchange brings together 24 beneficiaries of the Youth Guarantee Program of Italy, Estonia and Spain in the Canteras Shelter.
Between June 6 and 11, they will live together and participate in workshops in which they will contribute their experiences and discuss the current situation of the European Youth Guarantee program.
Young people from Estonia belong to the Continuous Action Association, those from Italy to the YouNet Association and the Spanish to the Euronation Association, organizer of the Exchange together with the Youth Council.
The main objective of this project is to provide these young people with an opportunity to express their real opinion about the effectiveness of this program.
It also intends to make improvement proposals on the same to make them reach the evaluation entities of the Youth Guarantee Program.
An Erasmus + Youth Exchange is a meeting of young people who live together and work together for a few days with the objectives of deepening their knowledge about other cultures, improving their English language skills.
Through workshops, team activities and games, participants can share their experiences with the proposed theme.
The methodology of these activities is based on non-formal methods where participants learn in a practical way and in small international work groups.
The age to participate is between 18 and 30 years.
