On June 11, 12 and 13, the acts of presentation and blessing of the bells of the parish of Santa María de Gracia in Cartagena will take place, which have been recently restored as part of the remodeling works being carried out in the exterior of the temple.
The exhibition of the bells will begin on Tuesday 11, on Aire Street, in front of the door of the parish, where they will be exposed until their placement in the bell tower three days later.
On Wednesday 12, there will be a conference in Santa María de Gracia by Dr. Francesc Llop y Bayó, anthropologist and director of the restoration of the bells, who will talk about how the whole reparation process has been.
The acts will conclude on Thursday, June 13.
The Bishop of Cartagena, Msgr. José Manuel Lorca Planes, will preside over the Eucharist, which will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will bless the bells outside the temple.
Next, a concert of bells led by Francec Llop will begin.
Finally, on Friday the 14th in the morning, its placement will take place in the bell tower of the Church.
José Abellán, parish priest and vicar of the pastoral area of ​​Cartagena, recalls that these are acts open to the entire Diocese and encourages everyone to approach the activities that have been organized to commemorate the restoration of the bells : "They are all invited to participate".
