The cantaor from Cartagena, Curro Piñana, and the Cartagonova Musical Union will act to benefit ASIDO Cartagena in the Extraordinary Spring Concert of the Rotary Club Cartagena.
This activity, in which the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena collaborates, will take place on Sunday, June 16, at 12 noon, in the Auditorium of the UPCT.
The presentation of this concert was on Wednesday June 5 and has had the presence of the Councilor for Social Services acting, Mercedes García, the president of the Rotary Club Cartagena, Alfonso Pérez Ramón, and the director of the Unión Cartagonova Musical, Jaime Beldá.
The acting mayor of Social Services, Mercedes García, has affirmed that "associations and social entities are fundamental for the benefit of citizens".
For that reason, he has invited Cartagena to attend this concert in solidarity with ASSIDO Cartagena.
The concert is divided into two parts.
The first part, the flamenco singer Curro Piñana, accompanied by guitarist Francisco Tornero, will perform various mining songs, tangos, guajiras and alegrías.
The second part, Curro Piñana will take the stage with Unión Cartagonova to delight attendees with Latin music songs.
According to the president of UM Cartagonova, Jaime Beldá, in this part "Curro Piñana leaves flamenco aside to interpret another record completely different from his own".
