The Popular University of Cartagena dismisses the academic year with a series of events in which the different courses and workshops that have been carried out during the last months will be closed.
On Monday, June 3 at 6 pm, the English and German Courses are closed.
The film "Into the Woods" will be screened in its original version.
It will be held in the language classroom of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
After the film, the academic certifications will be delivered by the Councilor for Culture, Tourism and Equality in Cartagena, David Martínez and the director of the Popular University, José Macián.
Into the Woods, musical created by Stephen Sondheim, is a modern version of the beloved Grimm Brothers' stories that intertwines the plots of the characters in an original story starring a baker and his wife and their interaction with the witch (Meryl Streep) that has cursed them
In the current academic year 2018/19 the following English and German courses have been taught at the Popular University: Introduction to English (A1), Affinity your English (A2), Pre-intermediate English (A2-B1), Perfect your English ( B1), and Friday English (A2) and I say Yes (A2-B1) with a number of 125 students enrolled in this course.
Affianza tu Alemán (A2) has had a number of 10 students enrolled.
On Wednesday, June 5 at 6:00 pm in the Assembly Hall of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center will be the closing of the Singing Workshop for students who have completed training in Breathing and Vocalization, Projection and Tuning and in the Application of Basic Techniques.
With performances by a large part of these students.
The Closing closes with the performance of the Choir of the Popular University of recent creation.
On Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m., the exhibition of the works carried out in the workshops of: drawing and painting, handicrafts, sculpture, ceramics and tailoring will be inaugurated.
You can visit in the Exhibition Hall of El Luzzy from June 6 to 27.
On Saturday, June 8, students who have participated in the different courses and workshops of the Popular University will embark on a cultural trip to Milan until Tuesday, June 11.
