The Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena celebrates one more year a new edition of the Music Festival.
For the fifth consecutive year, Cartagena will gather fans and music professionals and the general public on Saturday, June 22.
This festival, which originated in France, originated as a humble explosion of musical idealism.
In just two decades, it has become a globally popular event.
This season, the summer music event will attract music lovers in 750 cities around the world, including 300 European cities.

In this musical event all the musical styles will coexist thanks to musicians, bands, orchestras, choirs, soloists and DJs that will play for free on this day.
Those interested in participating can do it in two ways:
- Within the Official Program of the day:
For those who want to appear in the official program of the day, which will be broadcast in different areas, it will be necessary to make a prior registration.
The registration period will be open from June 3 to June 17.
Once the organization is finished, it will inform the participants of the place, time and duration of the performance.
Those musicians who want to perform must have their own autonomous sound equipment.
- Free Musical Axis
In the streets Mayor, Honda and Plaza Castellini will be located the three points that this year make up the "Free Musical Axis", spaces available for interpretation without prior registration.
These are the points where anyone can play acoustically or with an autonomous sound system and limited power, at most 30 minutes (in the same musical point).
These spaces will be available from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
From 20:30 h.
at 10:30 p.m., in the Plaza San Sebastián, there will be a piano available to all those musicians who want to perform their pieces.
Complying with the commitment that the City of Cartagena signed to join as 'Child Friendly City' the participation of children is made more interactive through an experiential music workshop, aimed at children between 4 and 9 years old, hand in hand of Hayat's Chocolate Factory, interested parties can register through the mail info@hayatschocolatefactory.com putting in the Subject "Workshop Music Party".
But this is not all, as in the previous edition will be the celebration of the Weekend Dj in the Esplanade of the Port and also will be held different activities in different parts of the city.
The small percussionists of the Quillo Drum Association will open the afternoon, like every year, with its traditional parade, there will be dance exhibitions, a guided tour to MURAM to see the exhibition "Urban Art, Street Legends" with final surprise.
