The XXXI edition of the Exhibition of Theater School lowers the curtain in the Cultural Center Ramon Alonso Luzzy, with the representation of the musical show 'Mary Poppins' and the delivery of prizes and diplomas to the students of the 12 participating schools.
It is an activity, organized by the Department of Education of the City of Cartagena, which started on May 13 with the work of IES Elcano 'High School Musical' and ended Friday, May 31, with its Closing Gala.
290 young actors and actresses of IES Elcano, CEE Primitiva López, Miralmonte School, Sacred Heart of Jesus Patronato School, CEIP José María Lapuerta, CEIP Atalaya, CEIP Our Lady of the Sea, Pedro Peñalver IES, Vicente Medina CEIP, CEIP La Asomada, CEIP Ciudad Jardín and CEIP Virgen del Carmen have been in charge of taking the stage and conquering the audience with numerous plays, of between 50-60 minutes, of various kinds such as' Chitty Chitty Bang Bang ',' La Isla de the feelings ',' Blackbeard's treasure ',' Around the world in 80 days ',' Merlin, the Enchanter ',' The Lion King ',' Red apples ',' Smell a cat ',' Stiff hairs and the island of little thing ',' Why do birds die? ',' The Circus of Horror 'and' Paula's dream '.
At all times, the students have counted on the advice of a team of specialist monitors in this area (José Salguero, Javier Vilar, Raquel Torres and Alejandro Rodríguez), who have helped the students to take the artist they carry inside.
In addition, they have had the collaboration of the teachers responsible for this activity and of the parents of the students, who have lent a hand in the essays elaborating the costumes and the props of the works.
The closing ceremony was attended not only by the participating students but also by other educational centers such as Feliciano Saura, IES Mediterráneo, Prolam Astus, IES Ben Arabi and the Center for People with Disabilities of La Unión.
The councilor of Education in functions of the City of Cartagena, Mercedes García, did not want to miss the final touch of the theatrical show and thanked the work of not only the participating students but also the faculty and the monitors, who have been able to take out the works represented on stage tables.
In addition, he has affirmed that it is an activity "well received year after year and with great success".
After the performance of the play 'Mary Poppins', Mercedes García has delivered a series of awards and diplomas to students for their participation in this activity.
