The journalist Esteban Hernández will present this Wednesday, May 29, his book 'Perverted time: right and left in the 21st century' (Akal, 2018) within the Cartagena Piensa program, organized by the City Council's Department of Culture.
The event will be at 20:00 in the library Josefina Soria Ramon Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center with free admission until full capacity.
The writer will be presented by María Jesús Morillas, member of the Grupo Promotor of Cartagena Piensa and Marta Latorre Catalán, professor of the Department of Sociology at the University of Murcia and a researcher in Political Sociology
About the book
Western societies are in the process of transformation.
Changes in production systems, technological developments and the growing weight of finance are added to social tensions, the emergence of new political actors and the return of geostrategy.
The book draws an essential map to understand the forces that are defining our epoch and understand the dimensions of the conservative turnaround undertaken.

Esteban Hernández is a journalist for the newspaper El Confidencial.
Author of "The limits of desire: Instructions for the use of 21st century capitalism" (Ed.Clave Intellectual), "Nosotros o el caos" (Ed. Deusto) and "The end of the middle class" (Ed. Clave Intellectual) .
He has worked in media such as El Mundo, La Vanguardia or Ruta 66. Law degree.
Today he directs the section of El Confidencial Society and his articles as a political analyst are an inescapable reference.
