On Saturday, June 1 at 7:30 pm, the XVI Choir Encounter "Cartagena en Primavera" will take place at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center in Cartagena.
This meeting, which began to be held in 1999, is organized by the Choir "Adolfo Vázquez" with the collaboration of the FECOREM (Federation of Choirs of the Region of Murcia) and has convened for the present edition the Coral KODALY de Molina, directed by José Bermejo and the Myrtea Choir of Murcia, directed by Laura Russin.
Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
The Coral KODALY, under the direction of José Bermejo (currently director and professor of Music at the Academies "Z. Kodály" in Molina de Segura and Murcia, chairs the Federation of Choirs of the Region of Murcia and directs the Kodály Choir , and the Choir of the Musical Group of Alhama de Murcia, the Capella Fontes Choir, the Exilum Choir and the IES Choir Miguel de Cervantes.) was born in 1982 and since then it has covered a large part of the Spanish geography, in addition to offering recitals in Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway and Italy that give it an international dimension.
In October 2011, he toured seven concerts in various cities of Peru (Lima, Cusco, Arequipa).
In 2015 he made his second visit to South America offering concerts in Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities.
The trajectory of the Coral Kodály is marked by numerous awards in most of the choral competitions in Spain, having received the first prize in the competitions of Ejea de los Caballeros, Cocentaina, Avilés, San Vicente de la Barquera, Villaricos, Cieza, Totana , Molina de Segura ... As a result of these awards, he has participated in four editions of the Grand National Choral Singing Award, in which the winning choirs of some of the most important competitions in the country compete.
For its part, the Coral Myrtea began its journey in 2012 under the direction of Laura Russín Gil, Graduate in Piano and Dramatic Art and, currently, finishing the Higher Degree in Orchestra and Choir Direction and the Master in Modern Singing and Jazz, that has given him knowledge to boost the activity of this Choir, achieving an upward trajectory in quality and merits that is resulting in us being able to count his successful actions in success.
The Choral Concert "Adolfo Vázquez" (1989), organizer of the Encounter, will complete the Concert, under the direction of its young director Javier Pérez Garrido (positioned as one of the most relevant emerging musical personalities at the international level, Europe Press. 2014) and always collaborator in any musical event that is within your reach.
He has spread his love for singing in concerts, not only in the Region of Murcia, but also in Madrid, Toledo, Albacete, Alicante, Valencia, Granada and Almeria.
