The exhibition about the 50 years of the IES Isaac Peral of Cartagena in its current building and the 150th anniversary of the Secondary Education in Cartagena that is being carried out in the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center is extended until Wednesday, May 29.
This exhibition, designed and prepared by Professor Carmen Verdú, reviews the most special moments lived in this educational center during its existence.

This exhibition, organized by the IES Isaac Peral of Cartagena, collects photographs and school documents.
This exhibition begins with images of the first institute of the city that emerged in 1869. This center was located in the La Purísima Concepción school building, on San Miguel Street.
After being abolished in 1874, in 1913, the General and Technical Institute of Cartagena, located on Calle del Aire, emerged.
After economic problems disappears the institution.
In 1927 the Institute of 2nd Teaching was inaugurated, in the old Lonja and headquarters of the Graduate Schools, located in the Juan XXIII square.
After a tour of the Secondary School in Cartagena, the exhibition addresses the birth of Isaac Peral in 1951 when he changed his name after being called Instituto Nacional de Enseñanza Media.
It is in 1968 when it is called the center located on Paseo Alfonso XIII, Instituto Isaac Peral, as it is known today.
