On the occasion of the VII Sports Week 'Paradise Xtreme Los Flamencos' to be held from June 14 to 23 at Playa Paraíso, organized by the La Manga Sports Club and the Emmaus Disciples Association of the Brotherhood of the Risen Christ in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena, Cross Paraíso Xtreme Los Flamencos will take place as the most outstanding event of the activities that comprise it.
The competition, which will be held on June 15 with departure at 19.30, has been presented on Friday May 17 at the Palace Hall by the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, along with Joaquín Martínez, president of the Sports Club La Manga, Julio González, president of Emaús Cofradía Resurrected disciples of Cartagena and Salvador Pallarés, head of Urbincasa, main sponsors of the event.
This seventh edition, which will have as its departure and arrival point the Municipal Sports Complex of Playa Paraíso, expects to exceed the participation of previous years with nearly 500 runners who will make a 7 km route on the shores of the Mar Menor and its various beaches.
The race will be scoring for the Murcia Region Running Challenge championship.
In addition to the cross, during the Sports Week other activities and competitions will be held such as the Beach Volleyball Circuit that has been played at Playa Paraíso since last April, the Calm Water Canoeing Cup, the IV Actuatlon Trophy, as well as as various exhibitions of Karate and Rhythmic Gymnastics.
