The Cartagena Children Trophy has started this Friday, May 17 with the preliminary phase that opens the XX edition of the World Championship of Aesthetic Gymnastics Group involving a total of 1,700 gymnasts from 28 countries.
The competition, organized by the City of Cartagena, the Spanish Association of Aesthetic Gymnastics of the Group and the International Federation of Aesthetic Gymnastics of the Group, is being broadcast live through the channel of Actualidad of the City of Cartagena on Youtube.
It has three categories: infant, junior and senior.
From 8:30 am, the children's teams are contesting their place in the final, which will be held on Saturday morning.
The inauguration of the world championship will be after the completion of the Ciudad de Cartagena Children's Trophy and awards ceremony, starting at 3 pm with an exhibition organized by the Federation of Troops and Legions of Carthaginians and Romans and with the assistance of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, together with the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora.
The junior and senior categories will be played during the afternoon of this Saturday and the morning of Sunday 19 with the finals, which will start from 10 am until 13.
The closing of the World Cup and the awards ceremony of this IFAGG World Cup will also take place at the Palacio de Deportes at 2:00 pm, which will be attended again by the Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, along with the Sports Councilor, Manuel Mora.
