Join the common spaces with the private areas of a house.
That is the objective pursued by 'MiradaA', the residential proposal of the students of the School of Architecture and Building Engineering, Alberto Antón, Anabel Cervera and Gonzalo García-Mora.
This is the name given to the proposal won by the local phase of the Pladur Constructive Solutions Competition.
According to the young people, who will travel to Madrid on June 7 to know the decision of the jury of the national contest, the idea was to integrate the environment into the housing units in order to "favor relations between people".
That is why, in the homes they propose, they pose a series of rotating furniture, which would serve as walls that, when moved, would create a totally different space in the home.
"The idea is that by using them, a space is created in which the private zone continues in the public zone," explains Anabel Cervera.
As they indicate, it is a "new way" to understand the space of the house, since they were looking for a better coexistence.
"In this way you relate to the environment while you are in your home," they warn.
"We presented ourselves with the intention of having fun, we did not go exclusively for the prize", explains Gonzalo, who considers that participating in the contest has enabled them to test their knowledge.
In addition, continues Anabel, winning the local phase has served as an "impulse, the race is quite hard and there are times when you do not know to what extent you have potential, which reminds you that the effort has been worthwhile".
