The Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities will allocate a grant of 150,000 euros to the Santa Teresa Hospitality Foundation of Cartagena to help maintain their shelter.
The counselor Violante Tomás visited this center that welcomes 25 homeless and / or at risk of social exclusion and where also the Community has hired eight places of accommodation valued at more than 88,000 euros.
"They are people who lack a stable social and family network, so it is an essential resource, not only for accommodation, but also to give them the tools that promote their autonomy and social integration," he said.
The hostel of the Santa Teresa Hospitality Foundation also includes users in workshops, resources or projects such as cultural visits, literacy courses, cooking courses or others aimed at promoting their personal recovery.
The professionals who work with them periodically monitor their situation through personal interviews in order to complete their reintegration process.
