The Mystery Narrative Days of Cartagena Negra, an initiative promoted within the Culture Area of ​​the City of Cartagena, celebrate its 5th edition with the Mystery Narrative course with the aim of offering readers activities that go beyond the presentation of authors or books.
Organized in collaboration with the UPCT and framed within Universidad Internacional del Mar, this summer course will deal with the writing of the black genre that will take place in the last week of August, from the 26th to the 30th in the morning.
The program was presented on Monday May 13 at the Palace Hall by the Councilor for Culture, David Martinez, along with Paco Marín, director of Cartagena Negra, which will focus on activities to raise awareness of this genre among young people and his origins of the genre in Spain, as well as writing workshops with ballistic techniques or most common mistakes.
It will feature authors such as Ana Ballabriga, who will also deal with the main techniques of the mystery novel, as well as other recognized figures of the genre such as psychologist and criminologist, Vicente Garrido or professors Alex Martín or Javier Sánchez, responsible for the Novelty Congress and Black Cinema of the Castellana University.
The person in charge of the Hanging Houses of Cuenca Contest, Sergio Vera, will also give a speech, as well as the weapons expert Francisco Roig.
Coordinated by Paco Marín and Antonio Parra of Cartagena Negra, the course will be taught at the UPCT's Business Sciences Faculty with a duration of 25 hours with a maximum of 30 places and the recognition of ECTS-CRAU credits.
Registration will cost € 60 and must be made through the website of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena www.upct.es/unimar.
This course is the prologue for the Black Cartagena Days that will open on September 3, being the first course organized by a black novel festival in summer.
The days, which are already in preparation, are receiving great welcome and participation in the III edition of the Cartagena Black Novel Prize.
