The Cantonal Party of Cartagena collects in the section of culture of its electoral program that the Roman Theater organizes a festival of classic works during the month of August.

The adaptation of the Cartagena monument for the function for which it was conceived would further increase its national and international knowledge and, therefore, the future number of visitors to the city.
In the field of the performing arts, the electoral program of the Cantonal Party also reflects the signing of an agreement of cession with the Autonomous Community that converts the Central Cinema into the municipal theater of Cartagena.
All the important cities of Murcia, Alicante, Elche, Almeria or Lorca- have a building for public ownership without the need for leasing as it is now with the New Theater Circus.
The PCAN takes this initiative for the artistic value of the sets and boxes of the historic Plaza del Lago building, as well as for the urgent need for regeneration of the Plaza de la Merced and the rest of the surrounding streets.
