Thirty-eight students and three teachers of Social Education of the University of Murcia visited on the morning of this Wednesday, May 8, the building "La Milagrosa", headquarters of the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena.
The visit is carried out annually as part of the programming of the university degree of Social Education, with the aim that the students know one of the buildings with greater importance in the protection of childhood between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.
In addition to the guided tour through different units of the building, they have also attended a talk on the socio-educational stages through which the children interned in the Casa de Misericordia passed until the beginning of the 21st century, offered by Social Services professionals.
The practical-breakfast that was served to the young people was by the hand of the students and the teacher of the course of Service of Restaurant and Kitchen with certificate of Professionalism level II of the Agency of Local Development and Employment.
