Murcia Open Future, the initiative of technological entrepreneurship promoted by Telefónica, the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia, the Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has selected eight innovative projects in its latest open call for projects related to the Internet of Things (IoT) or Blockchain.
Among the accepted projects, one stands out in which Business Intelligence and Analytics tools are used to analyze the situation of supermarket shelves in seconds.
A proposal that will offer different cartographic products such as interactive web maps, geospatial analysis, applications / GIS viewers or apps will also be developed in said space.
In addition, a new optical communications technology will be developed that allows small satellites to enter the IoT market and cut a substantial part of the costs of traditional technologies.
On the other hand, there is a project to implement industry 4.0 in companies that will focus on 4 levels of service: media sensing, data transmission, hosting and computing.
The monitored data can be viewed on any device in real time, as well as its history and statistics.
Also another entrepreneur will develop a virtual reality platform that will allow the training of personnel in industrial processes or virtual practices in educational centers.
Or a project that raises the wine trade in a new way with a tasting bottle (375ml).
The proposal works like a wine club: they facilitate the test, they educate in the wine and they inspire the demand in the store in an organic way.
At the end of the first phase of 4 months, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present it to companies and investors in a demo-day.
And they will receive offers to continue developing their ideas at the hands of Syscomed, Telefónica and other possible companies interested in their project.
They will be eligible for investment, contracts and cash prizes.
