The Autonomous Community and the City of Cartagena have reached an agreement to unlock the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) and to begin work on the first phase, which involves the transfer of the Franco Warehouse and the Transportation Center to the industrial estate of The North Camachos.

Specifically, it has been agreed to move the loads from the Transport Center plot in the same conditions to Los Camachos, as requested by the Community.

This was claimed successfully today by the counselors of Development and Infrastructure, Patricio Valverde, and Employment, Universities, Business and Environment, Javier Celdrán, who chaired the meeting of the Bureau of the ZAL of Cartagena, in which he realized the current state of infrastructure to its members, including the City Council, the Port of Cartagena and the businessmen of the region.

This agreement was essential to be able to move forward, once the City Council presented at the meeting this afternoon a proposal - after five months of delay and more than a dozen requests from the Autonomous Community - for the release of land loads located in Santa Lucia, fundamental to be able to unblock the purchase sale of the future lands of the ZAL.

At the meeting, the Minister of Development and Infrastructure informed that the urban planning procedures and the drafting of the projects are complete, all of which is included in the road map of the ZAL of Cartagena.

Thus, the declaration of Regional Interest Action is prepared for its initial approval, and the declaration of public interest for the construction of the Franco Deposit and the Transportation Center of Cartagena.
