"MC and PSOE have destroyed the main public services of Cartagena, which were not exactly an example of effectiveness in the time of the PP", lamented today the spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padin.

After analyzing the results of Cartagena of the last barometer of the Observatory of Urban Services (OSUR), the spokesman of Citizens, Manuel Padín, has assured that "it does not surprise us that the street cleaning, the care of green areas and conservation of public spaces, or public transport in Cartagena have such a low level of satisfaction among our neighbors, we have been warning and proposing from the beginning of the legislature a plan of shock in these areas without the coalition PSOE-MC in the first two years and now the Socialist Executive have been interested in doing it ".

"It is unacceptable that 70 percent of users are not satisfied with road cleaning, and that 84 percent do not have a positive opinion of the cleanliness of pet waste," says the Cs spokesman, who said that care of parks and gardens and conservation of public spaces ensures that "the situation is not much better, we are 12 points below the national average, so in Citizens we have announced that we will audit each of the contracts of the main services and examine strict compliance with the specifications to ensure its effectiveness ".

Regarding street cleaning, Manuel Padín has also stated that "we know that the contract with FCC is obsolete and that the current demands of the municipality are not met, this is a situation that should be corrected as soon as possible and not patched with shock plans improvised and punctual ".

"Citizens have an obsession with the cleaning service, because it is a key tool for a large city like ours, first for the residents, but also for the thousands of visitors and tourists we receive every year, and it is evident that the service does not It covers the needs that we have and we have to update and reorient the contract with the company, but it is equally clear that FCC must scrupulously fulfill its obligations and it is up to us to monitor (without blocking) until the last recess of its management ", Padín has warned.

Regarding the children's areas, Manuel Padín reminds that his Group will execute the plenary agreement of February 2017 promoted by Cs and not executed for the general revision of these spaces, in order to adapt them to European safety and health standards and to develop a municipal ordinance that compiles this regulation, including measures of accessibility and integration for those infants with some mental or physical disability.

On public transport, which only has 46% satisfaction, 11 points below the Spanish average, the orange training recalls that a plenary agreement of March 2018, also promoted by Cs, requires the PSOE Government to develop a Plan Integral for the optimization of the collective transport of travelers by road in the municipality that has as a previous base the accomplishment, on the part of the municipal technicians, of a detailed report on the necessities in urban transport that exist in Cartagena.

Manuel Padín says that "it will be another obligation left by the Government along the path we will take on May 26".
