The Cartagena beaches of Cala Cortina, San Ginés and Cuartel in La Azohía, Isla Plana and Levante in Cabo de Palos, all of them in the Mediterranean, will once again wave blue flags during the summer months, granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), according to the annual report of the ADEAC, Association of Environmental and Consumer Education.
There are five in total, the same as last year 2018. The situation that crosses the salt lagoon of the Mar Menor, has led the Department of Public Services not to request again this year any distinctive quality of its waters, until its total recovery.
Also repeats blue flag the marina of the Club de Regatas de Cartagena and in the section of blue trails the municipality gains another badge with the blue path Puerto de Cartagena, which adds to those already granted for the walk 10,000 steps in La Manga and the From Church to Church, between Isla Plana and La Azohía
