The weekend of May 4 and 5 was held at the Monterromero Stadium in Murcia, the Regional Championship of Combined Tests, as well as a test control on Saturday 4 and a sub16 semifinal on Sunday 5 where a hundred athletes from UCAM Athletics Cartagena p (06/05/2019)

In the Combined Events Regional, the Internationals of the Trimilenaria Maika Cuenca (4747 points in heptathlon) and Jose Luis Corral (6120 points in Decathlon) with victories in the U18 category stood out, besides Ana Faucon was imposed in the U23 Heptathlon with 3973 points.

In the sub16 semifinals stood out the victories of Simón Guasp in 600 meters, Adrian García in the 1000, Cayetano Ureña in 100 meters hurdles, Pedro Paredes in 1500 meters obstacles and the mark of Eva Ibarra in 600 meters that also ran the 100 in 12.89 that they constitute minimum assistance to the Championship of Spain.

In addition three athletes of the UCAM Athletics Cartagena participated in the Championship of Spain University disputed in Castellón representing the UCAM that dominated the medal table with 25 medals.

Vicky Ruiz in Javelina (7th), and Sergio Jornet and Rubén Salinas in 110 meters hurdles and 200 meters were able to get into the finals but each muscle discomfort prevented a better performance.

Also representing the University of Murcia were the departmental Pablo Diaz and Marta Meroño who competed in the 110 meters hurdles and 400 meters.

A great sporting activity that links this weekend with the National League of 1st Division where the UCAM Athletics Cartagena starts its journey in Madrid in men and in Valladolid in Women.
