The soccer fields of Molinos Marfagones and the San Cristóbal neighborhood will be a reality thanks to the budget surplus of 2018. The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the councilors of Sports, Manuel Mora, and Infrastructure, Juan Pedro Torralba, have held a meeting with the boards of the Football School of San Cristóbal and La Soledad, during the afternoon of this Friday, to communicate it.
The budgetary modification necessary to achieve this objective will be taken to the next municipal plenary session to be held on May 10.
The cost of the construction of both football fields is more than 695,000 euros.
The mayor already committed to neighbors and managers of both schools, to which both the projects of the two football fields and the financing that made them come true, before the end of the term.
The first mayor also stressed that "the casualties that occur from these two projects will also address other important issues that remain pending, such as the Los Belones football field."
Castejón has pointed out the importance of the municipality of Cartagena having decent sports facilities, and "little by little, we are getting it".
